6 Must-Do Experiences Before the Alabama vs Florida State Game

If you’re one of the lucky ones who get to attend Saturday night’s Alabama-Florida State game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, here’s a list of fun activities to do before kickoff [times listed are Eastern time]:

ESPN College Game Day: Broadcasting will begin at 8 a.m. in front [porch side] of Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Fans are encouraged to bring signs and their enthusiasm. Watch as host Rece Davis and analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack provide unique commentary with a style that has made this show a must see.

FanZone: 3-7 p.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center, Building C, halls C1 and C2. Admission is free with game tickets. The FanZone features pep rallies, interactive football games, giveaways, contests, food, drinks and free swag.

Tailgate Town: Free tailgate extravaganza begins at noon at International Plaza. Fans can play games, sample foods, score giveaways and watch other college football action on big-screen televisions. This event will be the springboard that fuels the game’s excitement.

Fan Day at World of Coca-Cola: From noon to 6 p.m., World of Coca-Cola will host an epic tailgate event, featuring free samples of Coke Zero Sugar and hamburgers while supplies last. The “Taste It!” lounge will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring four unique beverages representing the colors of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game competitors: Alabama, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Tennessee. Fan Day at the College Football Hall of Fame: This must-see attraction provides visitors with an interactive, state-of-the-art history lesson of college football. The hall will host the Home Depot Tailgate on Saturday. The hall will also host a comedy show by Jermaine “FunnyMaine” Johnson at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50 and include admission to the show plus a ticket to come back to tour to the College Football Hall of Fame. The hall will be open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Admission is $21.99 for adults, $18.99 for seniors 65 or older and students with valid identification, $17.99 for children 3 to 12. Fan Day at the Georgia Aquarium: Football fans can receive a 20% discount by pre-ordering tickets at www.georgiaaquarium.org. General admission includes the Dolphin Celebration, the “Under the Boardwalk” sea lion presentation and “Aquanaut Adventure: A Discovery Zone.” Billed as the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere, the Georgia Aquarium is just a few blocks from Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
