Best NFL Stadiums for Craft Beer. Did Your Team Make the Pour?

NFL Craft Beer

When you say “football,” fans get whipped into a frenzy. But when you add the words “and beer” to that iconic word, you get a whole new level of interest and behavior. It’s equally as important to cheer on your favorite team with a cold brewski in your hand as it was to take your ACT with a #2 pencil – both are rites of passages into adulthood.

Buying exclusive or local craft beer from your favorite liquor store is easy. But when attending a live football game, not every stadium is as inclined to offer such an array of choices.

Although you may not make it to most, if any, of these stadiums, there is, however, a purpose to this post. It gives you an inside look at what your favorite team is serving on game day. You can then take your team’s craft beer list and go buy the brew and serve it at your next homegate party. This allows you to stay connected with your fellow fans on game day. Because, as we all know, it’s all about bringing the experiences and traditions of game day to your home.

Here are stadiums that put their pour where their spirits are:

US Bank Stadium: Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota’s craft beer culture is among the most prolific in the nation. Minnesotan’s have been known to refinance their homes just to finance their home-brew hobby. US Bank gives homegrown brands an opportunity to showcase their products at the new, state-of-the-art facility.

Lucas Oil Stadium: Colts

Attending a Colts game? Well, “you’re in Luck.” That phrase may be Chuck Pagano’s favorite, but fans are also lucky enough to have a wide selection of craft beers to enjoy under the roof or at a kickin’ Colts tailgate party.

  • Flat 12 Bierwerks
  • Carson’s
  • Triton
  • Sun King
  • Tin Man
  • New Belgium
  • Sam Adams
  • Goose Island

Soldier Field: Chicago Bears

Bears fans will brave the harshest elements and perennial losing seasons, but they won’t tolerate wimpy diet beer. You’ll discover a wide variety of “manly” beers at Soldier Field; its craft beer inventory is as surly and bold as the fans that occupy the stadium.

  • Lagunitas
  • Revolution
  • Two Brothers
  • Haymarket
  • Goose Island
  • Half Acre
  • Bell’s
  • Oskar Blues
  • Sweetwater

MetLife Stadium: New York Giants/Jets

MetLife Stadium

The two teams may loathe sharing a stadium together, but I guarantee they both love to hear their fans roaring from the taps. New Yorkers give thumbs up to all these craft pours:

  • Blue Point
  • Boulevard
  • Victory
  • Sierra Nevada
  • Goose Island

Sports Authority Field at Mile High: Denver Broncos

  • Oskar Blues
  • Great Divide

Levi’s Stadium – San Francisco 49ers

Now don’t go gettin’ all cray cray during The RavensWalk before Ravens’ home game, or you may end up committing most of the mortal sins of what not do at a live football game [see list]. During your epic pre-game experience, you’ll find brews from:

  • Flying Dog
  • New Belgium
  • The Brewer’s Art
  • Yards
  • Harpoon

When Steelers’ fans aren’t working their knuckles to the bone in steel factories, they love to let loose and enjoy craft beers. Don’t make the mistake of thinking craft beer is just for Urban Woodsmen and Frat Boys, these craft brews could rust a Steel Curtain [my humorous attempt at saying craft beer can satisfy even the toughest of fans].
